Winter Breathing Foundation Workshops!
Breathing is the foundation. Wherever the breathing is restricted in the body, that part of the body becomes blocked. Where the breath flows, the body moves.
Our winter Breathing Foundation Workshops will be starting during late January. The purpose of these workshops is to bring conscious awareness to the process of our breathing. Through gentle exercises and attention to the breath, we will learn to open up restricted breathing patterns and reclaim our natural breathing.
Winter PSOAS Workshops!
DISCOVERING YOUR PSOAS: An Exploration of the Core Muscle of Awareness
This workshop series involves sensory explorations in which our usual habitual tensions will be revealed and an understanding of the psoas and its function will be highlighted. Through exploratory exercises will will release, tone and lengthen the psoas, thus improving core integrity.
My View on Yoga!
The practice of Yoga is a personal journey to self-discovery. All individuals who come to practise are unique, and carry with them their own wisdom on living well. Through the practice of Yoga, with its many threads of tradition, we weave the tapestry of our own lives. Our common ground is a commitment to ourselves.
We start where we are: grounded at the centre, trusting the body, mind and breath to guide us to develop the freedom to explore with sensitivity, continually learning from that exploration. The path is an ever-changing dance: a movement around and within a circle. This movement allows us to gain new perspectives toward our ever-evolving lives, and forms the essence of self-transformation. Change and movement are inseparable parts of our lives, and the practice of Yoga allows us to live in harmony with change and transformation within movement. Each of us is invited to embrace the starting point of now, and allow the journey of self-discovery to unfold.
